League Championship Series has a new commissioner: Jackie Felling

The League Championship Series (LCS) is the top professional League of Legends competition in the United States and Canada. The event, which has seen enormous growth in recent years, represents the elite of Esports. From now on, the event will have a new commissioner: Jackie Felling.

She is a professional in every sense of the word in the field of virtual sports. Felling spent the last 16 years working in the video game and esports industries as a game producer and global head of esports at Gears of War, product lead for the Overwatch League, and most recently, product director for the Call of Duty League at Activision Blizzard.

“This opportunity couldn’t be more exciting for me. As I considered my next step, I knew I wanted to be in a place where I could make a real impact and where my passion for the community and players could be fueled,” explained who will also be the director of Esports for North American League of Legends Esports for Riot Games. “Throughout the last 16 years of my career in game development and esports, I have admired Riot for its dedication to players and esports,” she acknowledged.

She replaces Chris Greeley, who was promoted to Head of Esports for North America and Oceania at Riot Games in 2021. Felling said Greeley will assist her in the transition during the LCS 2022 Spring Split, which runs until April 24, while focusing on three pillars: support for developing players, an expansion in broadcast production quality, as well as diversity and innovation.
