Issued by GLI, the first laboratory accredited by the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA/MF), certification SY-711 confirms that Oddin.gg‘s iFrame solution—which includes its Odds Feed, risk management, BetBuilder, Widgets, and 24/7 fast betting content—meets Brazilian regulatory standards for security, integrity, and operational compliance.
The comprehensive regulatory framework, defined by Federal Law No. 14.790/2023 and overseen by the SPA/MF, came into effect earlier this year with the aim of legalizing, regulating, and protecting the national betting market.
To ensure consumer protection and market integrity, all operators and providers must comply with strict requirements, including:
- Mandatory Local Certification: All online betting and gaming platforms must be certified by an SPA/MF-approved laboratory (such as GLI), ensuring compliance with technical standards for randomness, fairness, and security.
- Operational Integrity and Data Residency: Operators must be established as a legal entity in Brazil and generally host their core betting systems and player data within the national territory.
- Responsible Gaming and KYC: The rules require anti-fraud tools, identity verification via CPF and biometrics (Know Your Customer/KYC), and responsible gaming resources, with special protection for minors.
According to estimates from the Central Bank of Brazil, Brazilians already spend up to BRL 30 billion (USD 5.4 billion) per month on online betting. With the inclusion of esports betting—driven by events like IEM Rio 2024, which reached over 710,000 concurrent viewers (a 26% increase from the previous year)—the opportunity for bookmakers to attract new segments of bettors is growing rapidly.
In addition to titles like Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends, VALORANT, and Free Fire, Oddin.gg‘s own 24/7 eSimulators—or eSims—are gaining significant traction in the region. These are head-to-head matchups provided by an ESIC-certified studio, designed to replicate the experience of traditional sports betting. With football deeply rooted in Brazilian culture, eFootball is particularly relevant — and Oddin.gg is the only provider offering both men’s and women’s leagues, helping operators broaden appeal and maintain user engagement between major events.
Juana Bischoff, Senior Business Development Manager LATAM at Oddin.gg, commented:
“Obtaining SY-711 certification for our iFrame means that licensed operators in Brazil can now offer a fully compliant esports product that is ready to go from day one. It opens the door to a younger generation of bettors who demand fast and interactive content, and provides operators with the tools to meet that demand with confidence. With 24/7 betting options, integrated risk management, and strong local interest in titles like CS2 and eFootball, this is an opportunity to grow sustainably and stay ahead of the regulatory curve. For those betting on the future of the sector in Brazil, this is a key step.”
Mauricio Lima, Senior Business Development Manager LATAM (Brazil) at Oddin.gg, added:
“Brazil is one of our key strategic priorities, and this certification reinforces Oddin.gg’s long-term commitment to the market. It is an important milestone in our mission to support local operators with solutions that meet regulatory standards and offer the quality and engagement that Brazilian bettors expect.”
