This Wednesday, December 27, the sale of entrance tickets to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu for the period of January 1 to 5, 2024, will begin through the website www.machupicchu.gob.pe and the extranet of the Decentralized Directorate of Culture (DDC) of Cusco.

The Ministry of Culture made the announcement through a statement addressed to travel and tourism agencies, as well as the general public, to have access to the Inca Trail and the citadel or llaqta during the first five days of next year.
“This operation will take place in accordance with the coordination being carried out by the DDC Cusco with the internal teams of the IT offices, who have committed to reactivating the aforementioned website starting December 27,” the ministry’s announcement states.

Finally, it is reported that sales through the aforementioned page will end when ticket purchases through the platform tuboleto.cultura.pe are activated.
In December, it was announced that Machu Picchu’s daily capacity will increase from 4,044 to 4,500 visitors starting January 1, 2024, and will receive up to 5,600 tourists per day on specific dates that have not yet been specified by the authorities.
